Robert Michniewicz: “Partnerzy. Finał” (Partners: The Finale, 2025)

The work

“Finał” came out on 13 November 2025. According to the publisher’s description, it is a spy thriller in which the line between truth and betrayal becomes dangerously thin; Barbara Szymańska remains the protagonist.¹

In its list of the author’s books, the publisher places it as the third volume of the series, after “Początek” and “Zemsta”.²

The real background

The series revolves around the Foreign Intelligence Agency and its rivalry with Russian intelligence from February 2022 onwards. The author served in Polish intelligence for 23 years and, as he has said, does not reveal in his books details that could endanger his former sources.^2,3,4

In the earlier volumes the adversary is Russian intelligence, including the SVR, and the themes include building influence among Polish politicians; “Finał” closes the series.⁵

According to media and secondary accounts · not confirmed by official sourcesThe author told Histmag.org that his official workplace, as given to family and friends, was the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and that he maintains his cover today to protect his former sources, not himself.⁴

What we know and what we don’t

The available publisher’s description is general and gives no places or dates for the action, so we do not compare the plot with real events. The title theme – the line between truth and betrayal – corresponds in the glossary to the concepts of the mole and the double agent, but we do not know whether the plot uses them. We will update this card when we find a detailed description or a review.¹
