Description based on the glossary of the IPN Archival Inventory. Alongside it, the glossary lists two related operational records files: on a bishop (TEOB) and on a parish (TEOP).1
Churches were among the institutions against which the SB conducted object cases, that is, cases against institutions, groups and organisations deemed hostile or requiring secret supervision. Against individuals whose activities the SB considered hostile it opened a case of operational investigation – the highest degree of operational involvement.2
